No doubt you've heard people say “TGIF” or “Thank God It’s Friday!” at the end of the week. Clearly, we’re all happy to see Friday after another tough week. But today, I’d like to offer another meaning to TGIF that works every day of the week and that’s, “Today, God is First.”
In Proverbs 1:7, the Bible says “Start with God—the first step in learning is bowing down to God; Only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning.” Believers understand we are created beings, and as such, our Creator knows best our design and purpose in life.
Today I encourage you to put God first and seek His wisdom and guidance in your life. Ask Him to lead you and move you in the direction He has for your life.
